Install the BACnet integration in Home Assistant

Requirements

• Home Assistant 2024.4.0 or newer
• Python 3.12 or newer (included in supported Home Assistant versions)
• Network: UDP port 47808 must be reachable between Home Assistant and the BACnet devices
• Other subnets: a BBMD (BACnet Broadcast Management Device) or a BACnet router if the devices are on a different network or VLAN. See Getting started.

Install with HACS

The integration is in the default store of HACS (the Home Assistant Community Store).

1. Open HACS and search for BACnet IP Integration.
2. Click Download.
3. Restart Home Assistant.

If you added it earlier as a custom repository, nothing changes: updates keep coming.

Manual installation

Copy the custom_components/bacnet folder from the GitHub repository into the config/custom_components/ folder of your Home Assistant, then restart Home Assistant.
